Community Development Officer Paula Bahamon with Mission Valley Bank partnered with New Economics for Women – Women’s Business Center to facilitate training seminars such as access to capital and financial literacy for entrepreneurs. Paula served as a panelist on August 29, 2022, in a celebration for having the United Nations declare Women’s International Day in remembrance of the anniversary of the passage of the 19th amendment in 1920 that gave women the right to vote.
The event sponsored by Mission Valley Bank was well attended by a dynamic group of women business owners who were ambitious and determined to make their dreams a reality. Desiree Rodriguez, owner of Decades Flooring attended the event and took this opportunity to express her lending needs. Through the collaboration of Paula & Mission Valley Bank, Desiree was able to get a $50,000 loan.
