A Dream Business

Veronica Mosquera, originally from Venezuela, She  always dreamed of having her own business. As a hobby she learned how to make beautiful decoration for parties for her family and friends. She found this talent she has could be a good starting for a business. Since 2019 she started to take different trainings to become a professional balloon decorator, finally she felt she was ready to start her business and on June 2021 Veronica filed her DBA Cocoon Balloons, after that she looked for business training and found NEW WBC.

On April 2022 Veronica learned about the NEW WBC “Grow to Business” program for swap meet vendors. With the help of the NEW WBC team, she persevered in attending all of her classes. She completed her program and received a certificate from the New Women Business Center, personalized business consultancies and was able to make her business plan and financial projections. 

After passing for the application process and complying with all of the legal requirements, she was awarded with the Dream Fund Grant. This gave to her the opportunity to invest in merchandise, marketing and appliances to make better and professional decorations. She share with the NEW WBC: “ For the 2023 first quarter my sales had increased, I got new clients and I have been able to offer better product and services, thanks to the investment I did with the Dream Fund Grant Money”.
