After facing life-changing disabilities and finding herself unable to work, Juana, a single mother of two, took the bold step of starting her own business. Her journey began with selling cosmetics from a box in the parking lot at the Santa Fe Springs Swap Meet. As her sales grew, Juana expanded her efforts to a booth inside the swap meet and, eventually, to multiple booths. Her dedication and hard work laid the foundation for Bryselyn Cosmetics.
Today, Bryselyn Cosmetics offers a diverse range of beauty supplies to boost women’s self-confidence. The company’s standout products include high-quality eyelashes, available in both Juana’s and other popular brands.
The NEW Women’s Business Center has significantly supported Juana’s growth as a businesswoman. Through their DreamBuilder program: «Construye Tu Sueño,» Juana gained valuable insights into business structure, administration, and marketing. Another feature that helped her is the monthly Latina Biz Networking sessions. She discovered the importance of networking, which has been instrumental in expanding her business connections and opportunities.

In August 2024, she will open her store in Whittier, CA – marking a new chapter in her entrepreneurial journey.
